Building permits issued for Oct. 21-27

• A $1,313,220 alteration permit was issued for conversion of 19 existing two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments back to their original 38 one-bedroom, one-bathroom layouts at the Vista St. Clair Apartments at 1000 S.W. Vista Ave. The applicant is Charles Kidwell of Leeb Architects, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is Vista St Clair Apartments LLC.

• A $1,000,000 alteration permit was issued for temporary improvements at Concourse C of Portland International Airport. The improvements will accommodate ground-loading aircraft previously located at Concourse B. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Hoffman Skanska LLC, and the owner is the Port of Portland.

• A $7,053,569 new construction permit is under inspection for a six-story mixed-use building with 112 living units on the site of a former Umpqua Bank branch at 2180 N.E. 47th Ave. The applicant is Dan Williams of Faster Permits, the contractor is Deacon Construction, and the owner is Umpqua Bank.

• A $4,585,144 new construction permit is under inspection for a new four-story mixed-use building with 88 residential units and ground-floor commercial space at 151 N. Killingsworth Ave. The applicant is Dan Williams of Faster Permits, the contractor is Deacon Construction, and the owner is Koz on N Killingsworth LLC.

• A $23,611,701 new construction permit was issued for an eight-story mixed-use building at 1725 S.W. Salmon St. in Goose Hollow. The project, by South Carolina-based Greystar Real Estate Partners, will contain 182 residential units and ground-floor retail space. The applicant is Andrew Pulliam of SERA Architects, the contractor is Hoffman Construction, and the owner is TriMet (Leased City Center Parking).

• A $1,725,381 new construction permit was issued for a three-story, 28-unit modular apartment building with a basement at 6700 N.E. Garfield Ave. The applicant is Nathan Ember of Ink:Built Architecture, the contractor is Northwest Ventures Group Inc., and the owners are BD Lenz Properties LLC and MJP Holdings LLC.

• A $1,923,000 new construction permit was issued for interior work on the fifth and sixth floors, including a convenience stair, and changes to the first-floor deck and planted areas, of District Office at 555 S.E. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is Andersen Construction, and the owner is PMC Building LLC.

• A $936,000 new construction permit was issued for exterior metal stud framing on the 4th and Montgomery building under construction at 1810 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Taylor Doolen of contractor Andersen Construction, and the owner is Portland State University.

Building permit intakes for Oct. 21-27

• A $520,000 addition permit is under review for the shell remodel of an existing 10,000-square-foot single-story building at 633 S.E. Clay St. The project will include the addition of a mezzanine with an office room, new walls and stairs. The applicant is Brian Melton of DiLoreto Architecture, the contractor is Bulldog Mechanical & Remodeling Inc., and the owner is Clay Blocks LLC.

• A $500,000 alteration permit is under review for repair and partial replacement of the decorative wood coffered ceiling that fell last month in the Kridel Grand Ballroom in the Mark Building at the Portland Art Museum, at 1119 S.W. Park Ave. The applicant is Joshua Stein of Hennebery Eddy Architects, the contractor is MA Mortenson Company, and the owner is the Portland Art Museum.

• A $500,000 new construction permit was issued for shoring and excavation for an eight-story mixed-use building by San Diego developer Fairfield Residential at 465 N.E. Davis St. The applicant is Ryan Miyahira of Ankrom Moisan Architects, the contractor is Fairfield Development LP, and the owner is Fairfield NE Grand LLC.

Facility permits issued for Oct. 21-27

• A $550,000 alteration permit was issued for landlord work on multiple levels of the Yeon Building at 530 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is Michael Barrett, the contractor is Swinerton Builders, and the owner is NRCF Yeon Owner LLC of San Francisco.

• A $1,400,000 multiple dwellings/single lot improvement permit was issued for site improvements for a five-unit attached townhouse development at 3027 S.E. Division St., including grading, landscaping, sidewalk, bike parking and utilities. The applicant is Mary Valeant of Valeant Architecture, and the contractor is Geislinger Construction Inc. An owner is not listed, but the property is owned by Blue Dart Acquisitions LLC.

Facility permit intakes for Oct. 21-27

• A $600,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement for Elephants Delicatessen on the ground floor of the World Trade Center building at 121 S.W. Salmon St. The applicant is Pamela Deegan of contractor Western Construction Services Inc., and the owner is 121 SW Salmon St Corp.

• A $534,000 alteration permit is under review for a tenant improvement at the Mark O. Hatfield Research Center building at Oregon Health & Science University’s Marquam Hill campus at 3250 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road. The applicant is Aric Debriae of Orangewall Studios, the contractor is Skanska USA Building, and the owner is OHSU.
