Building industry professionals are invited to swap their tools and work gear at an event hosted by Oregon Tradeswomen Inc. It’s scheduled for Nov. 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the nonprofit’s offices at 3934 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in Portland.

Attendees can bring their own functional tools and gear to either trade or donate. Food and drinks will be provided while they browse available items.

Donated items will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis; swaps will be determined by tools’ current owners. Any equipment left over at the end of the evening will be donated to students in OTI‘s pre-apprenticeship programs.

OTI also will be celebrating its selection as one of the 150-some nonprofits to participate in Willamette Week’s annual Give!Guide campaign. A donation of $10 to any of the nonprofits in this year’s campaign will yield a 12-month subscription to the Chinook Book app.
