The Oregon Concrete and Aggregate Producers Association and the Oregon chapter of the are now accepting nominations for awards recognizing the best concrete projects of 2019 in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Officials are looking to honor exceptional projects in many categories. Nominations are being accepted through Jan. 25. Honorees will be celebrated at the 40th annual banquet on April 24, at the Salem Convention Center.

鈥淎ny public or private project completed within the past two years is eligible,鈥 Diane Warner, chairwoman of this year’s Excellence in Concrete Awards Committee, stated in a press release. 鈥淧rojects may be submitted by any of the individuals or firms that worked on the project.鈥

Eligible projects are those incorporating concrete as a 鈥渟ignificant part of construction鈥 and have been completed between Jan. 1, 2018 and Dec. 30, 2019. Projects can be located anywhere in Oregon or Greater Portland, including nearby areas of Southwest Washington.

Categories include, but are not limited to: technical merit, craftsmanship, commercial, public facility, bridges, industrial, recreational, pervious, parking structures, tilt-ups, ICF structure, retail, paving, mixed use, residential/multifamily, sustainable (LEED), utility, and residential/single-family.
