Building permits issued for June 22-28, 2020

  • A $528,250 alteration permit is under inspection for a tenant improvement for a first-time tenant at The Collective on 4th mixed-use building at 1818 S.W. Fourth Ave. The work will include new demising walls to create three first-floor tenant spaces. The applicant is Armando Fernandez of GBD Architects, the contractor is Deacon Construction, and the owner is Fourth & Harrison LLC.
  • Eight new construction permits with a combined value of $964,000 were issued for the installation of foundations, ramps and connections for eight total modular classroom, storage and restroom trailers on Portland Community College’s Sylvania campus at 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. The applicant is Rashmi Vasavada of Hacker Architects, the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis, and the owner is Portland Community College District.
  • A $1,200,000 new construction permit was issued for a value-added revision to add a speculative office space build-out on Level 2 of the Canvas at Press Blocks building at 1750 S.W. Yamhill St. The applicant is Daniel Nowell of GBD Architects, the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis, and the owner is URG OPB 17th Avenue LLC.

  • Eighteen new construction permits with a combined value of $1,344,000 are under review for various aspects of a project to convert a former Residence Inn extended stay hotel property at 1710 N.E. Multnomah St. to an apartment complex. The permits include changes of occupancy to convert eight structures into apartment buildings with a combined 168 units, renovations of clubhouse and office buildings, and construction of carports and a trash enclosure. The applicant is Charles Kidwell of Leeb Architects, the contractor is LMC Construction, and the owner is ARC Hospitality Portfolio Crestline of Fairfax, Virginia.
  • A $1,000,500 new construction permit is under review for a new three-story, 14-unit apartment building at 5803 N. Greeley St. The applicant is Ryan Pickrel of Faster Permits, the contractor is JF Construction Company, and the owners are Patricia Arnold and the Jacobsen Family Trust.

Facility permits issued for June 22-28, 2020

  • A $1,556,877 alteration permit was issued for improvements to the Woodlawn Elementary School campus at 7200 N.E. 11th Ave., including the re-roofing of select areas, interior remodeling of select restrooms, new ceilings, flooring, finishes, plumbing and electrical systems. The applicant is Nicholas Sukkau of Portland Public Schools, the contractor is Skyward Construction, and the owner is Portland Public Schools.
  • A $500,000 alteration permit was issued for improvements to the Roosevelt High School campus at 6941 N. Central St., including a lab and classroom tenant improvement, demolition of walls to combine classrooms, installation of operable partition walls and new ceilings, flooring, finishes, plumbing and electrical systems. The applicant is Nicholas Sukkau of Portland Public Schools, the contractor is Swinerton Builders, and the owner is Portland Public Schools.
  • A $5,000,000 addition permit was issued for utility work related to the main terminal core expansion project at Portland International Airport. The applicant is Zac Horton of Faster Permits, the contractor is Hoffman Skanska LLC, and the owner is the Port of Portland.
