Building permits issued for Oct. 12-18, 2020

  • A $2,937,500 permit was issued for industrial additions and renovations at 226 S.E. Madison St. The work includes a new rooftop light monitor and skylights and loading dock replacement. A separate tenant improvement permit covering renovation of the basement, ground floor and rooftop balcony was also issued, at a value of $2,062,500. The applicant is Zac Horton of Faster Permits, the owner is 210 SE Madison OZ LLC and Truebeck Construction is the general contractor.
  • A $570,748 alteration permit is under inspection at 12005 N.E. Marx St. for tenant improvements in an existing space and expansion into an adjacent tenant space for a new laboratory, requiring a change of use. Exterior work includes new long-term parking. The applicant is Don Livingstone of Livingstone Studios Architecture and Planning LLC. The contractor is Brent Vinsonhaler of GNC Construction in Gresham.
  • A $1 million permit was issued for grading and preloading soils at Prologis Meadows, Lot F, 9475 N. Horseshoe Ave. The applicant is Dale Poppe of Mackenzie, and the owner is Prologis LP.
  • A $6,139,737 permit was issued for a new Northwest Natural Gas facility at 2600 S.E. Ninth Ave. A three-story office building will be constructed with an attached two-story storage building. Mike Coyle of Faster Permits is the applicant, Northwest Natural Gas Co. is the owner, and Bremik Construction Inc. is the general contractor. Several other permits were issued at the same location for infill of pits for a new parking lot, driveway, landscaping and stormwater, a fueling station, storage garages and trash enclosure.

  • A $600,000 permit is under review for a single-story industrial addition at 8235 N. Kerby Ave. to create manufacturing and office spaces. The applicant is Colleen Nichols of Livermore Architecture and Engineering. The owner is the Theron R. and Bonnie R. Howser Living Trust. The contractor is Howser Steel Inc.
  • A $10,054,400 new construction permit is under review for a one-story building at 11919 N. Jantzen Drive. A separate demolition permit valued at $214,223 is under review. An existing grocery store is set to be demolished, and then a new building constructed for a flooring retailer. The applicant is Brad Lauth of Centerpoint Integrated Solution of Lakewood, Colorado, the owner is Safeway Inc. of Dallas, Texas, and the primary contractor is out to bid.
  • A $950,000 permit is being reviewed for exterior cold-formed framing for Portland International Airport’s Parking Addition and Consolidated Rental Car (PACR) facility. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is the Port of Portland, and the primary contractor is J.E. Dunn Construction Co.

  • A $600,000 alteration permit is under review for tenant improvements at 1300 S.W. Fifth Ave. Work includes demolition of walls and construction of new walls to create a reception area, conference rooms, offices and more. The applicant is Connie Hotovec of Gensler, the owner is SOF-XI WFP Owner LLC, and the contractor is R&H Construction Co.
  • A $1.3 million permit is being reviewed for tenant improvements to the Portland Community College Health Technology building, at 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Work includes an X-ray room, a mechanical room, classrooms and labs, office space and more. The applicant is Rashmi Vasavada of Hacker, the owner is the Portland Community College District, and the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis LLC. Also, a separate mechanical permit valued at $1.2 million is being reviewed.
  • A $2.845 million permit is being considered for tenant improvements on the second and third floors of a building at 100 S.W. Main St. Work includes offices, a health room, computer rooms, break rooms and storage rooms. Matt Fitzgerald of GBD Architects Inc. is the applicant and AAT Oregon Office I LLC is the owner.
