• Caitlin Ranson of Hacker requested early assistance for a four-story, approximately 94,000-square-foot mixed-use building with 94 dwelling units and ground-floor commercial space at 5600 N.E. 42nd Ave. The owner is Portland Community College.

• An assistance request is pending for a five-story, 61-unit apartment building at 3031 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd. The applicant is David Mullens of Urban Development Group in Beaverton, and the owner is American Youth Hostels Inc. of Silver Spring, Maryland.

• Zoning information has been requested for a potential project at 6525 N. Montana Ave. The multifamily proposal calls for three stories above grade with 40 units. An existing structure would be demolished. The applicant is James Casey McGuirl of McGuirl Designs and Architecture, and the owner is Montana Portland Lofts LLC of Portland.

• Early assistance is pending for a 43,000-square-foot multi-tenant office building. The applicant is Derek Metson of Greenbox Architecture in Oregon City, and the owner is SW Barbur LLC of Las Vegas.

• Early assistance is pending for a seven-story mixed-use building at 550 S.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Plans call for five stories of Type III wood construction atop two stories of Type I concrete construction. The building would include an at-grade parking garage and commercial spaces, with residences on levels two through seven. Marcus Lima of GBD Architects is the applicant, and Burns Bros. Inc. of Lake Oswego is the owner.

• A pre-application conference is pending for a proposal at 1838 N. Argyle St. An eight-story building would have ground-floor units, retail space and structured parking. Carrie Strickland of Works Progress Architecture is the applicant. The property owners are John Wolz and Wild Goose Holdings LLC of Portland.
