Building permits issued for Nov. 9-15, 2020

• A permit for alterations valued at $17,639,526 was issued for work at the Henry Building, at 309 S.W. Fourth Ave. The job includes smoke control. The applicant is Dan Williams of Faster Permits, the owner is C.K. Henry Building LP, and the contractor is Colas Construction Inc.

• A $1.2 million alteration permit was issued at 3310 S.W. U.S. Veterans Hospital Road, Unit PP. The work involves removing and replacing existing siding and soffit panels. Bjorn Clouten of SRG Partnership is the applicant, the Oregon State Board of Higher Education is the owner, and Hoffman Construction Co. of Oregon is the contractor.

• An $890,000 alteration permit was issued for improvements at the Bybee Lakes Hope Center (the former Wapato Jail), at 14355 N. Bybee Lake Court. Tenant improvements relate to creating a re-entry building for the homeless. The applicant is Steve Ewoldt of Otak Inc. The owner is N. Bybee Lake Court LLC. Mike Jordan of Precision Construction Co. is the contractor.

• A $2,182,344 new construction permit is under inspection for a four-story, 39-unit apartment building at 330 N.E. Dekum St. Some units will have outdoor patios. The applicant is Brett Schulz of Brett Schulz Architect PC, the owner is Dekum Properties LLC of Portland, and the contractor is Mackenzie Thames of Team Construction LLC in Vancouver, Washington.

• A $1,426,000 permit was issued for work – including fireproofing – at Lincoln High School, at 1750 S.W. Salmon St. The applicant is Jeff Bowen of Hoffman Specialty Contracting and the contractor is Hoffman Construction Co. Portland Public Schools is the owner.

• A $950,000 permit was issued for exterior cold-formed framing for the PACR project at Portland International Airport. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is the Port of Portland, and the contractor is J.E. Dunn Construction Co.

Building permit intakes for Nov. 9-15, 2020

• Two permits totaling $2.22 million are being reviewed for 12102 S.E. Division St. Work will include a new shell building. Improvements for the existing tenant will reduce the size of the restaurant, reconfigure the drive-thru and add a second drive-thru pad. Additional work will include parking, paving, striping, landscaping and bike racks. The applicant is Thomas Fallon of Benner Stange Associates Architects Inc. The owner is ROIC Oregon LLC of Carlsbad, California, and the primary contractor is out to bid.

• A $591,000 alteration permit is being reviewed at 4460 N.E. 150th Court. Work involves tenant improvements for two suites within an existing shell building. Interior partitions, ceilings, lighting and accessible restrooms are planned. Ryan Pickrel of Faster Permits is the applicant, and Mason 150 LLC of Newport Beach, California, is the owner. The primary contractor is out to bid.

Facility permits issued for Nov. 9-15, 2020

• A $2.5 million permit was issued for tenant relocations at Portland International Airport at all concourses’ enplaning and deplaning areas. Work includes new partitions, counter areas, food service areas and walk-in freezers and coolers. Mike Coyle of Faster Permits is the applicant, the Port of Portland is the owner and Interior Exterior Specialist LLC of Scotts Mills is the primary contractor. A separate $200,000 mechanical permit was also issued with Bill Grassl of Harder Mechanical Contractors Inc. as contractor.

Facility permit intakes for Nov. 9-15, 2020

• A $550,000 mechanical permit is being reviewed at 4380 S. Macadam Ave., River Forum 1. The work includes HVAC upgrades on all floors. The applicant is Rebecca Fitzsimmons of McKinstry Co., which is also the contractor. The owner is Clarity Ventures RF Portland of Vancouver, British Columbia. A separate, $140,000 mechanical permit is under review at 4386 S. Macadam Ave., River Forum 2, with the same project team.

• A $747,000 permit is being reviewed for greenway site improvements at the Alamo Manhattan blocks, at 3510 S. Bond Ave. Work includes a new greenway and open space, a bike path, a pedestrian path, an overlook, retaining walls, grading and storm drainage. The applicant is Keith Buisman of Otak Inc., the owner is AM/DRI Willamette LLC of Dallas, and the primary contractor is Michael Carrigg of Andersen Construction Co. of Oregon LLC.
