Building permits issued for Nov. 30-Dec. 6, 2020

• A permit valued at $1 million was issued for installation of 16 new 100-foot steel light poles to replace 106 old wooden light poles at 6301 N. Marine Drive. The new light poles will be equipped with five to 10 LED fixtures. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is the Port of Portland, and the contractor is Northeast Electric LLC.

• A permit valued at $1,101,557 was issued for the addition of a fifth story at 1645 S.E. Nehalem St. The work includes construction of 75 residential units. The applicant is David Mullens, the owner is Sackhoff Family LLC et al, and the contractor is SK Hoff Construction LLC.

• A $4 million permit is under review for selective demolition and a seismic upgrade as part of a remodel of the historic landmark Troy Laundry building. The applicant is Andrew Becker and the project owner is Troy Laundry Property Holder LLC. The primary contractor is out to bid.

• An alteration permit was issued for $1,250,000 at the Port of Portland, at 7200 N.E. Airport Way. Work includes new rooms to create port police training areas, ceiling, flooring, finishes and electricity. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is the Port of Portland, and the contractor is Interior Exterior Specialist LLC.

• An alteration permit was issued for $2,250,000 at Portland International Airport’s terminal five. Work includes a demo to clear tenant spaces for a future build-out, remodel of storage rooms and washer/dryer room, ceiling, flooring, finishes, plumbing and electricity. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the owner is Port of Portland, and the contractor is O’Neill Construction Group Inc. (Maurice Rahming).

• An alteration permit was issued for $2,101,997 at the Providence Portland Medical Center. The work includes modification to the ninth-floor cancer center due to COVID-19. Work includes temporary build-out of walls to create patient rooms, nurse stations, supply rooms, utility rooms, offices, bathrooms, shower rooms, ceiling, flooring, finishes, plumbing and electric. The applicant is Evan Schaye of Providence Real Estate, the project owner is Oregon’s Providence Health and Services, and the contractor is Fortis Construction.

• An alteration permit was issued for $510,216 at the Providence Portland Medical Center. The work includes installation of ductwork, grilles, diffusers, exhaust fans, VAV units and electrical on the ninth-floor cancer center. The applicant is Evan Schaye, the owner is Oregon’s Providence Health and Services, and the contractor is Harder Mechanical Contractors Inc. (Bill Grassl).

The work includes a demo of walls to create new walls, a lounge area, office, enclaves, open office areas, collaboration areas, labs and classrooms, stock room, chemical storage room, ceiling, flooring, finishes, plumbing and electricity. The applicant is Todd Spangler of Hacker, the project owner is the Portland Community College District and the contractor is Lease Crutcher Lewis LLC.

• A $3,002,942 permit is under review for alterations to the Portland Community College Sylvania Science Tech building. The work includes installation of duct work, grilles, diffusers, terminal units, exhaust fans, penthouse roof installation of split system, air handling units, pump, louvers, piping and electricity. The applicant is Todd Spangler of Hacker, the project owner is Portland Community College District, and the contractor is Alliant Systems LLC.
