Building permits issued for Dec. 14-20, 2020

• A $41,399,011 permit was issued for alterations at 5001 N. Columbia Blvd. The work includes grading and excavation for future site work. It also includes the installation of secant piles, de-watering activities, jet grouting and deep soil mixing. Julietta Randles of the Bureau of Environmental Services is the applicant, the city of Portland is the project owner, and Kiewit Infrastructure West is the contractor.

• A $1,321,893 permit is under inspection for new construction at 1515 N. Simpson St. The work includes construction of a new three-story, 19-unit apartment building with partial ground-floor retail space and associated site-works. The applicant is Jim Toporek of Studio 3 Architecture, the project owner is DEZ Development LLC, and the contractor is Modern Northwest Inc.

• A $3,836,083 permit was issued for new construction at 3178 S.W. 12th Ave. The work includes construction for a new five-story 46-unit multifamily building. Parking and landscaping are also being removed from the site. Gabe Headrick of Steelhead Architecture is the applicant, SWS 12th Avenue Apartments LLC is the project owner, and Steve McHugh of MCH Construction is the contractor.

• A $1,233,931 permit was issued for new construction at 7350 N. Greenwich Ave. Plans call for construction of a new three-story, 16-unit apartment complex and associated site work. Ryan Pickrel of Faster Permits is the applicant, Structure Redevelopment LLC is the project owner, and Vlad Rudnitsky of Structure Redevelopment LLC is the contractor.

• A $1,336,480 permit is under review for a new three-story, mixed-use building at 4738 S.E. Belmont St. The work would include construction of a 19-unit apartment building with ground-floor retail space. Jim Toporek of Studio 3 Architecture is the applicant, Alpina Properties LLC is the project owner, and the contractor is out to bid.

• None for any project with a value of $500,000 or greater.

Facility permit intakes for Dec. 14-20, 2020

• A $730,000 permit is under review for building alterations at 600 N.E. Grand Ave. The work would include ceiling and lighting upgrades throughout the entire building, finishes, and electrical. Dan Hoskin of Metro is the applicant, and Metro is the project owner. The contractor is out to bid.
