• An application for design advice is pending for 1838 N. Argyle St. The proposal calls for a modular, mass-timber residential building with at least 175,000 square feet as well as on-site stormwater facilities. John Wright of Wright Architecture is the applicant, and John Wolz and Wild Goose Holdings LLC are the project owners.

• An application for early assistance is pending for 6369 S.W. Capitol Highway. The proposal calls for expanding an existing veterinary clinic into the neighboring 1,600-square-foot yoga studio. The interior renovations would include removing stud-wall partitions and replacing them with metal-stud wall partitions with gypsum wall board. The work would also include installation of an interior ADA-compliant wheelchair lift to provide accessibility between the two suites. No exterior work is proposed at this time. James Watts of Lakefield Veterinary Group Inc. is the applicant and Wardin Investment Co LLC is the project owner.

• An application for early assistance is pending for 3632 S.W. Baird St., unit 5. Portions of the buildings’ exteriors require recladding. The site has complex zoning, including Multi-Dwelling Zone Residential Multi Dwelling 2, Single-Family Residential Zone, and Commercial Mixed-Use 2. The line between the zones cuts across one of the buildings. The project team is seeking a better understanding of how the zoning complexities affect possible design review considerations for partial recladding of buildings. The scope is not yet defined, so the valuation is not accurate. Erik Lawrence of RDH Building Science Inc. is the applicant and Eastview Development Inc. is the project owner.

• An application for early assistance is pending for 1117 S.W. Palatine St. The proposal calls for a small side yard landscape project, which would include 170 square feet of paver patio, a lawn area, boulders, small retaining walls, a fence, gravel, and native plantings. The applicants are Mitchell Leard and Kent Brandtjen of Landscape East & West, and Benjamin Johnson. The project owners are Brianna Johnson and Benjamin Johnson.
