Noteworthy: The Wapato Lake National Wildlife Refuge Pump Station, a key component of the Tualatin River watershed revitalization effort, allows management of water levels in the lakebed to support a mosaic of wetland habitats and protects municipal and agricultural water supplies. This essential project improves the health, safety, and welfare of the public while also meeting the needs of many stakeholders, including Clean Water Services, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Joint Water Commission, Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District, and Tualatin Valley Irrigation District.
