Noteworthy: The project team helped the University of Oregon transform Hayward Field into the finest 鈥渢heater鈥� for track and field athletics in the world. The reimagination of Hayward Field features a new nine-lane track, observation tower, modern locker rooms, a weight room, indoor practice areas, a hydrotherapy and rehabilitation area, and a track and field theater designed specially to provide the most intimate spectator to athlete experience. From the design and construction of the soaring wood structure to the 12,560 seats in the stadium, to the unique ring foundation design, the project team seamlessly integrated the client鈥檚 goals into the stadium鈥檚 performance and created many learning initiatives for the construction and engineering communities.
