Portland-based David Evans and Associates has acquired Civil Works Engineers, a civil engineering consulting firm headquartered in Costa Mesa, California.

CWE employees have joined DEA’s office in Tustin, California. The staff of CWE specializes in transportation engineering, traffic engineering design, drainage engineering and civil site improvements. The acquisition expands DEA’s depth of transportation services in Southern California.

DEA has a staff of more than 900, including engineers, surveyors, hydrographers, planners, landscape architects and natural resources scientists. An employee-owned corporation, it has 30 offices nationwide.
