Plans call for a new four-story, 65-unit affordable housing development with one- and two-bedroom apartments. Structurally, the 54,643-square-foot building will have a concrete foundation and be slab on grade with wood-framed walls and pre-engineered floor joists and trusses. The exterior siding will be fiber-cement shingle panels and a veneer brick. The building’s low-slope, build-up roof will have a parapet, rooftop ventilation units, heat pumps and a photovoltaic array.
