  • Design review (Type 2 procedure) is pending for the Vue Apartments, at 1717 S.W. Park Ave. The proposal calls for removal of the existing planter walls, benches, and portions of the plaza deck paving, and installation of new porcelain tile benches, larger landscaped areas and a new luxury faux grass system. Work would involve replacing fountain tiles and installing new LED lighting. James Denney of Nashville, Tennessee, is the applicant and Vue Apartments Property Owner LLC is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is sought for work at 4030 S.E. Division St. The proposal calls for remodeling the existing building to accommodate four tenants instead of one. Work would include adding nonbearing demising walls, new storefront doors and two ADA bathrooms, and upgrading two existing bathrooms to ADA standards. Ed Spencer of Endpoint Design is the applicant, and Outfront Media and Bristol Equities Apartments Investors are the project owners.
  • Early assistance is sought for a proposal to construct a 113-unit apartment building at 5907 S.E. 47th Ave. David Mullens of SK Hoff Construction is the applicant, and Mary Zilk and James Darby are the project owners.
  • Design review (Type 2 procedure) is pending for changes to Merx, a seven-story, 126-unit mixed-use building at 1910 N.W. Pettygrove St. The project was previously called NW 19th & Pettygrove. Proposed changes include adding a roof-top deck, changing the metal panel gauge from 20 to 24 for the ribbed metal panel and from 20 to 22 for the flat metal panel, removing Juliet balconies, and replacing sliding doors with windows. Alex Yale of YBA Architects is the applicant and DD Pettygrove LLC is the project owner.

    A pre-application conference is sought for a proposal at 150 S. Montgomery Street. The new building would be developed on the northern portion of the block adjacent to the 30-story RiverPlace Block 1 South tower that was recently approved by the Portland Design Commission. It would include multifamily units, new parking stalls, and commercial retail space. Agustin Enriquez and Daniel Bradbury of GBD Architects are the applicants and NBP Capital is the project owner.

  • Design review (Type 1 procedure) is pending for a building at Portland State University along Southwest Fourth Avenue (within the 97201 zip code). A section of exterior curtain wall windows would be removed, and an overhead door would be installed. Gerald Gotschall of Portland State University is the applicant, and Urban Center Condominium Association and the state of Oregon are the project owners.
  • Early assistance is pending for work at Sckavone Stadium, at 7125 S.E. McLoughlin Blvd. The proposal calls for converting an existing covered area into an equipment storage area with a roll-up door and converting an existing recreation room into a headquarters with workstations. Gabe Dominek of Dominek Architecture is the applicant, and the city of Portland is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is pending to discuss vacation of 701 N. Hunt St. Nathiel Egosi and Steven Ferker of RRT Design and Construction are the applicants, and Wastech Inc. of Chicago is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is pending for 1017 N. Revere St. The proposal calls for demolition of an existing structure to make way for a four-story, 39-unit multifamily building. Keegan Hebert of Works Progress Architecture is the applicant, and Shortstack Developer LLC and the Janine Firpo Living Trust are the project owners.
  • Early assistance is pending for 3314 S.E. Powell Blvd. The proposal calls for construction of a four-story, 75-unit affordable housing building with wood-frame construction. No on-site parking is proposed. Brett Schulz of Brett Schulz Architect is the applicant and 33/Powell LLC is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is pending for 6714 S.E. 142nd Ave. Plans call for a right-of-way vacation for a portion of Southeast 142nd Avenue and Southeast Cooper Street to control access into the natural area. Virginia Bowers of the Bureau of Environmental Services is the applicant, and Erika Tucker and Metro are the project owners.
  • A pre-application conference is sought for 425 N.W. 23rd Ave. The proposal calls for construction of a five-story, mixed-use building with ground-floor retail space and basement parking (35 stalls). The building would include 20 condominium or apartment units. Kurt Schultz of SERA Architects is the applicant and Davis, I Kenneth TR is the project owner.
