  • Design advice is being sought for the modernization of Jefferson High School, at 5210 N. Kerby Ave. Additional space will be necessary to support dance and theater programs as well as community partner programs. The team anticipates the new facility having approximately 330,000 gross square feet. Becca Cavell of Bora Architects is the applicant and School District No. 1 is the project owner.
  • A Type 1 procedure (historic resource review) is pending for Montgomery Park, at 2701 N.W. Vaughn St. The proposal calls for relocation of the antennas on the Montgomery Park sign to the parapet and penthouse as well as relocation of equipment into an existing penthouse room. Paul Slotemaker of Tilson is the applicant and UPG Montgomery Park Property Owner LLC of Seattle is the project owner.
  • A Type 2 procedure (design review) is pending for Asa Flats + Lofts, at 1200 N.W. Marshall St. Plans call for installation of six short-term bicycle parking racks. Cameron Buchholz of Sage General Contracting is the applicant and Asa Flats LLC of Dallas, Texas, is the project owner.
  • A Type 2 procedure (Pleasant Valley resources review) is pending for replacement of 18 decaying, steel-lattice tower structures within the Springwater Corridor (97236 zip code). Meredith Armstrong of Portland General Electric is the applicant and the city of Portland is the project owner.
  • A Type 3 procedure (historic resource review) is pending for 205 N.E. Russell St. Plans call for a seismic and interior renovation of the Albina Library as well as construction of an approximately 32,000-square-foot addition. Tyler Nishitani of LEVER Architecture is the applicant and Multnomah County Library District is the project owner.
  • A Type 2 procedure (design review) is pending for 1131 S.E. Oak St. The proposal calls for a four-story, approximately 35,854-square-foot affordable housing development. The building would include 61 units – a mix of studios and one-bedroom apartments. The ground floor’s programming would include housing units, a building lobby, property management offices, and residential and community amenity spaces. Two modifications are being sought: one to eliminate the required 5-foot landscape buffer on the north and east sides of the loading area, and the other to allow loading access from Southeast 11th Avenue. Kristina Hauri of Holst Architecture is the applicant and St. Francis of Assisi of Catholic Church is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is pending for a 250-unit development along North Yacht Harbor Drive (97217 zip code). Zac Horton of Faster is the applicant and Yacht Harbor Master Condominium Association is the project owner.
  • A Type 2 procedure (adjustment) is pending for a four-story 16-unit multifamily building development planned at 7480 N. Delaware Ave. The project team is seeking to reduce the pedestrian circulation walkway connecting to North Delaware Avenue from 6 feet to 4 feet as well as reduce the property’s the south setback from 10 feet to 9 feet. Nathan Arnold of Faster Permits is the applicant and 2440 N Lombard LLC of Vancouver, Washington, is the project owner.
  • A Type 2x procedure (land division review) is pending for division of the site at 4564 N.E. 72nd Ave. into five lots, a common green tract, and a new public street. Each lot would gain a fourplex with no on-site parking. Sarah Radelet of Strata Land Use Planning is the applicant and Tuyo Land LLC of Houston, Texas, is the project owner.
  • Early assistance is pending for 4225 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd. The proposal calls for demolition of existing buildings as well as construction of pavement and utilities to suit a food cart pod. Jacob Warren of Raindrop Engineering is the applicant and Steven Guerra is the project owner.
  • A Type 2 procedure (design review with modifications) is pending for 1178 N.E. 106th Ave. Plans call for a multifamily development with 13 detached dwellings and individual garages for one vehicle each. Emily Sandy of Strata Land Use Planning is the applicant and Etruscan Ventures LLC is the project owner.
