The Aspen model at Reed’s Crossing, in Hillsboro, is among Earth Advantage-certified homes constructed by Ichijo USA.

Several homebuilders in the Portland-metro area have received awards for their efforts to build homes that are more energy efficient. The awards are given by the nonprofit Earth Advantage to builders that construct zero-energy homes as well as those that exceed requirements for and indoor air quality.

Local award winners this year in the single-family home category include: Ichijo USA for most platinum-level homes, David Weekley Homes for most gold-level homes, and Stone Bridge Homes NW for most silver-level homes as well as the most certified homes overall (statewide). Also, a David Weekley Homes employee was named Construction Manager of the Year.

Multifamily category winners include: Carleton Hart Architecture with the Hall of Fame award for multifamily home construction and Northwest Housing Alternatives for the most Earth Advantage-certified multifamily homes in the state. Also, a Colas Construction employee was named Construction Manager of the Year for multifamily homes.

Awards are for projects completed from June 30, 2021 to July 1, 2022.
