Building permits issued for May 29-June 4, 2023

  A $4,529,090 demolition permit was issued for O’Bryant Square at 800 S.W. Harvey Milk St. Work involves demolition of the O’Bryant Square hardscape and below-grade parking garage. Vladimir Ivanov of Walker Consultants of Seattle is the applicant; the city of Portland is the project owner; and Northwest Infrastructure LLC is the contractor.

• A $1,170,000 new construction permit was issued for 7736 N Kerby Ave. Work involves various site improvements, including expansion of pathways and the playground area and equipment, and installation of picnic tables and a Portland Loo. Ben Johnson of GreenWorks PC is the applicant, the city of Portland is the project owner, and T Edge Construction is the contractor.

• 

  A $9,289,939 new construction permit was issued for Beacon at Glisan Landing at 7450 N.E. Glisan St. Work involves construction of a four-story, 41-unit permanent supportive housing building with resident amenities, ground-floor incubator retail space, and a commercial kitchen and café. Nici Stauffer of Holst Architecture is the applicant, Glisan Street Family Housing Partners Limited Partnership of Irvine, California, is the project owner, and LMC Construction is the contractor.

• A $12,500,000 new construction permit was issued for the Columbia Boulevard Wastewater Treatment Plant at 5001 N. Columbia Blvd. Work involves construction of a new administration building and associated site work. Neither the applicant nor the project owner was listed. Kiewit Infrastructure West of Omaha, Nebraska, is the contractor.

• A $898,443 alteration permit is under review for 3551 S.E. Division St. Plans call for a shell improvement for existing tenant space (first and second floors). Sean Barnett of Polymath Studio Architecture is the applicant, Corner Pocket LLC is the project owner, and Green Gables Design & Restoration is the contractor.

  A $23,364,913 new construction permit is under review for 2700 S.E. Tacoma St. Plans call for construction of a four-story, 173,000-square-foot self-storage facility. Kyron Christman of Faster Permits is the applicant, Clear Sky Capital of Phoenix, Arizona, is the project owner, and Perlo Construction is the contractor.

• A $3,379,000 new construction permit is under review for Hollywood HUB at 4410 N.E. Halsey St. Plans call for construction of a paseo, stair and ramp structure for bicyclists and pedestrians to connect Halsey Street with the bridge that provides access to the Hollywood MAX station. Max Brunke of KLK Consulting LLC is the applicant, TriMet is the project owner, and Raimore Construction is the contractor.
• A $700,000 new construction permit is approved to issue for 3000 Powell at 3000 S.E. Powell Blvd. Plans call installation of fiber cement siding. Alexandra Young of Colas Construction is the applicant, Home Forward is the project owner, and Colas Construction is the contractor.
• A $900,000 new construction permit is under review for the Port of Portland at 8155 N.E. Air Cargo Road. Plans call for constructing an asphalt multiuse path for bicyclists and pedestrians, moving light poles, and removing trees. Bradlee Hersey of Faster Permits is the applicant and the Port of Portland is the project owner. The primary contractor is out to bid.

Facility permit intakes for May 29-June 4, 2023

• A $930,000 alteration permit is under review for Adventist Medical Center at 10123 S.E. Market St. The tenant improvement would involve work on the basement level and on the first and second floors. Work would also include finishes, flooring and electrical. West-Com & TV Inc. of Fairfield, California, is the contractor.
• A $650,000 alteration permit is under review for the Bureau of Development Services at 1900 S.W. Fourth Ave. Work on the first and second floors would involve installing duct work as well as replacing air handlers, water pumps, an expansion tank, piping and electrical elements. The primary contractor is out to bid.
• A $1,400,000 alteration permit is under review for an OHSU parking garage at 3181 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road. Work would involve infilling openings on the north and east elevations to accommodate the hospital’s expansion, and installing a full-height chain-link fence and gate around mechanical equipment on levels 1-4. James Aarhus (Skanska USA Building of Parsippany, New Jersey) is the contractor.
