The Greenbrier Companies’ board adds Ottensmeyer

Patrick J. Ottensmeyer has been elected to The Greenbrier Companies’ Board of Directors. He served as president and CEO of Kansas City Southern, a Class I railroad, from 2015 to 2023, until the completion of the merger creating Canadian Pacific Kansas City. From 2008 to 2015, he was KCS’ executive vice president of sales and marketing. From 2006 to 2008, he was KCS’ executive vice president and chief financial officer. Ottensmeyer is the U.S. chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Mexico Economic Council. He also is the co-chair of the Brookings Institution’s USMCA Initiative, a group focused on building more integrated and resilient supply chains.
