Amid the rapid advances in technology that propel the construction industry forward, Spectrum Woodworking‘s dedication to one of the profession’s oldest crafts enhances corporate offices such as law firms, city halls and other municipal buildings, libraries, universities, retail stores and restaurants.

鈥淲e make where people spend the majority of their lives enjoyable and beautiful,鈥� said Josh Sharp, president and owner. 鈥淲e are unique and what we do takes a heck of a lot of skill. That only comes with time.鈥�

Sharp started the company in 1988 and his 45 employees provide millwork, finishing and other signature touches requested by the designers, architects and contractors it partners with. He said Spectrum’s vision, 鈥淏e Awesome,鈥� sounds pretty basic but hits the mark. The company’s goal is to be good stewards of the opportunities it is given.

Spectrum is in the process of engaging with local high school woodworking programs to promote careers in the industry, and donate materials to high schools and trade schools in the community.

鈥淚 think we sometimes get overshadowed by all of the fancy technology stuff, but what we do is amazing and there is a significant gap in skilled and trained professionals in our industry,鈥� Sharp said.
