Hope Telford joined Portland-based Richard Brown Architect in 2014 and bought the firm in 2020 with the goal of creating spaces that emphasize natural materials, comfort, usability and energy efficiency.
鈥淚’ve always been a big creative thinker and it’s been a large shift for me to move from being primarily a designer to taking a leadership role, but I love that,鈥� she said.
The firm specializes in wineries, new homes, home renovations and ADUs, sacred and educational spaces, and commercial projects. Telford said she appreciates the opportunity to help her staff achieve their goals while also satisfying clients.
鈥淚t’s really great to see clients who are happy because their spaces turned out to be so much more than they ever imagined,鈥� she said.
