Mandy Flett has built a distinguished 21-year career supporting Otak鈥檚 planning, federal, transportation, survey and construction management teams since graduating with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in community development from Portland State University.

As deputy project manager on the West Eugene EmX Extension project, Flett demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills by building positive relationships with Lane Transit District, key stakeholders and the consultant team. Her proactive approach to project management ensures effective collaboration and keeps entire teams informed on all action items.

Flett excels in crisis management, quickly assembling necessary resources and communicating transparently with clients to resolve issues while minimizing disruptions. Her ability to research project documentation and propose solutions for designers to validate has made her essential for project advancement.

Beyond technical expertise, Flett mentors new hires, helping them navigate roles, manage expectations and balance workloads. She has played a key role in preparing complex National Environmental Policy Act documents and large construction projects, including the Red Rock Creek Trail Alignment Study.

Amanda Owings, business unit leader for transportation and infrastructure at Otak, noted in the Women of Vision nomination form that Flett 鈥済oes beyond transactional exchanges to build lasting relationships with clients,鈥� fostering partnerships and long-term commitment through regular engagement.

Flett is active in her local community, volunteering for environmental clean-ups and fundraising events with Lift Up and Boy Scouts of America, among other organizations.
