The Port of Astoria was established in 1911 and is celebrating 100 years of economic development. The port serves all residents of Clatsop County and impacts the entire Lower Columbia region, maintaining and operating two marinas, a deep water port, the North Tongue Point Marine and Industrial Facility, and the Warrenton-Astoria Regional Airport.

The port is soliciting proposals to develop a camera surveillance system and electronic security gates.  Included in this bid is the purchase, installation, programming and training for all equipment to provide monitoring access at multiple security levels and locations.

The camera system, when completed, will maintain redundant storage capabilities of four month and will be inclusive of all necessary system hardware. Cameras shall be color, day/night capable, and be analog or IP based.

The electronic access gate system requires the purchase of five gates.  The gates are to be 20 feet long vehicle gates, 4 feet in height, and standard steel with electronic keypad access features.

Portland Community College has an annual budget of more than $100 million from a variety of sources – property taxes, state reimbursements, grants, contracts and tuition. In November 2008, a $374 million PCC bond measure was approved to pay for capital improvements through the next decade.

This project consists of the remodel and upgrade of the bathrooms on the first floor of the Jackson Hall Building at the Cascade campus, 705 N. Killingsworth St. in Portland. Work includes demolition, plumbing, insulation, debris removal and other tasks required to complete the project.

The tentative date of contract approval by the PCC Board of Directors is September 2011.

A Big Al’s Bowling Center and Sports Bar will be constructed in the new Meridian Town Center in Meridian, Idaho. The facility will be a state-of-the-art family entertainment center offering bowling, arcade gaming, events and a sports bar and grill.

The project will be a two-story, steel-framed building with approximately 65,661 square feet. Construction will be IBC type IIA with full sprinklers, IBC occupancy A2/A3, on a pad site within approximately 86.79 acres. Subcontractors are encouraged to visit the Big Al’s facility in Beaverton for examples of finish carpentry, flooring, cabinetry and overall construction quality requirements (visit www.ilovebigals.com for more information).

Ground will be broken in August, and completion is slated for July 2012. The total estimate is $14 million, which includes shell construction, tenant improvements and fixtures, furnishings and equipment.

The project calls for a site-constructed three-bedroom, two-bath home with pre-engineered roof trusses. The home will have approximately 1,600 square feet of living area, including a dining room, a rear living room and a kitchen. Energy Star/Super Good Cents home certification is required. As a bid alternate, a manufactured home will be considered.

Demolition shall include removal of an existing manufactured home and foundation. No axels are present.

Project consists of replacing two existing HVAC cooling units in the PERS (Public Employees Retirement System) building at 11410 S.W. 68^th Parkway in Tigard.

The existing cooling units will be replaced with two new 15-ton units.  Work also includes relocating the uninterrupted power supply for better space utilization and providing supplemental cooling systems for office space that is adjacent to the server room.

The estimated cost for the project is $325,000, and final completion is scheduled for Oct. 31, 2011.

Clatsop County Fairgrounds, 4.4 miles outside of the city of Astoria, was built in 1994. County residents can participate in a full range of activities and events at the facility.

This project consists of a request for proposals from qualified firms for custom design, transport and installation of telescoping bleachers for the fairgrounds. The bleacher system shall be comprised of multiple tiered, closed-deck seating rows operating in a telescoping manner, incorporating the most economical quantity of sections while still complying with all loading requirements.

The contract will be awarded on July 25 and notice to proceed will be issued Aug. 1.
