June sees higher than expected housing construction

Despite job losses in the construction sector that will likely take some time to fill in, the U.S. Commerce Department announced some positive news today. According to MarketWatch, estimates for June national housing starts show a 14.6 percent increase to a seasonally adjusted rate of 629,000, the highest national level since the beginning of the year.
