Third firm applies to Gresham enterprise zone

ON Semiconductors, a Phoenix, Ariz.-based chip manufacturer, applied last week to enter a Gresham enterprise zone that was recently approved by Gresham City Council. If accepted, the company would join Boeing Co. and Portland Specialty Baking in the newly adopted enterprise zone and would receive a five-year property tax abatement from the City of Gresham.
