Former home of Oregon governor for sale

The Pennoyer Building, at 714 S.W. 20th Place, was built in 1888 for Gov. Sylvester Pennoyer, who later became mayor of Portland. He was known for his political radicalism, opposition to Chinese immigrants and his churlish attitude. The 7,960-square-foot building is for sale for $1.3 million.

Scottish Rite of Freemasonry Center

The Scottish Rite of Freemasonry Center, at 709 S.W. 15th Ave., was built in 1902 for that order of masons, but due to diminishing membership, the order decided to sell the building and look to move into a smaller space. The building has been on the market for at least four years.

Design Center

Though the Design Center, at 735 S.W. 20th Place off West Burnside Street, is now an office building, it was once the studio for KPTV's Ramblin' Rod, a cartoon show host from 1964 to 1997.
