Metro approves Mortenson as developer for convention center hotel
Metro Council has officially selected Minneapolis-based Mortenson Development to head construction of a Convention Center Hotel.
Committee recommends Mortenson as Convention Center Hotel developer
Mortenson Development is proposing two options for a headquarters hotel near the Oregon Convention Center: either a 416-room Hyatt Place or a 600- to 614- room Hyatt Regency.
2 proposals submitted for headquarters hotel
Metro has received two development proposals for a large hotel to serve the Oregon Convention Center. A recommendation for a developer could be presented to Metro Council and the Portland Development Commission by mid-August.
