Multnomah County commissioners last week agreed to adopt a disposition and development agreement to authorize the sale of 3.12 acres at the west end of the Morrison Bridge to Melvin Mark for $10.43 million. The company plans to build and office tower and a public market at the site.

Developers slowed by county
In January, Multnomah County prepared to issue a request for proposals to develop a parcel of county-owned land at the western end of the Morrison Bridge. More than eight months later, that still hasn’t happened. The county later planned to issue requests to developers first in March and then in August. In each instance, the plans were postponed.
