Things to consider when nominating.

If a nominee was a past winner of Women of Vision, please explain what she has accomplished since her last win. The Circle of Excellence (2x honoree) and Hall of Fame (3x honoree) are based off that time frame.

Be specific with details about the person鈥檚 career achievements and community involvement. Please include dates, board memberships and any available data. Assume we know nothing about your nominee. Don鈥檛 simply offer your recommendation. 鈥淛ane is definitely a Woman of Vision.鈥� Back it up with data. We receive a high volume of nominations, so please provide the committee solid reasons to say yes. Don鈥檛 say she 鈥減articipated in鈥� but rather she is 鈥渓eading鈥�, she is 鈥渄riving results鈥�, 鈥渞esponsible for鈥�. They know what these terms mean.

Don鈥檛 wait until the last minute. If you believe in this person, get the nomination in early so you are not at risk of missing the cut-off. If your nominee wasn鈥檛 chosen in the past, nominate them again if they have made new contributions and achievements. If you know of multiple people who want to nominate the same person, include their names and contact information in a single form as references.
