The Portland Design Commission last week unanimously approved designs for two downtown projects.
TVA Architects’ designs for Park Avenue West, a 33-story tower retail, office and condominium project planned for the block bordered by Southwest Morrison and Yamhill Streets and Park and Ninth Avenues, were approved.
鈥淭his will be a gateway to our office, retail and shopping core,鈥 Chairman Lloyd Lindley said.
Renovation of the Federal Reserve Bank building on Southwest Stark Street was also approved, with commissioners saying that Hennebery Eddy Architects’ solution went a long way toward opening up the former bank for office uses.
鈥淚’m very pleased to see that it is going to be recycled into reuse,鈥 Commissioner Jeff Stuhr said.
