Seven Portland building projects are slated to receive a total of $425,000 in grants from the Green Investment Fund, according to an announcement made last week by the city of Portland and Energy Trust of Oregon Inc.

The projects receiving GIF grants are One Waterfront Place, Mercy Corps’ Global Headquarters, , the Meier and Frank warehouse, an aquatics addition to the East Portland Community Center, the mixed-use Simpson Commons and 12W, a mixed-use high-rise tower.

The GIF is a five-year, $2.5 million grant fund intended to improve green building practices in Portland. It is a partnership between the city of Portland’s Office of Sustainable Development, Water Bureau, Bureau of Environmental Services and the Energy Trust.
