Otak Inc. has hired Sally Foster as an urban planner at its Lake Oswego headquarters and Chris Brandt as a landscape architect in its Carbondale, Colo., office.

Foster this year received the David Crane Award for Excellence in Urban Design while earning a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania. She also was short-listed for the Urban Land Institute鈥檚 Urban Design Competition in January.

Brandt has 12 years of experience with project and contract management, as well as sustainable design and storm-water use. He worked on site planting and storm-water design for the 10 Coburg medical office building in Eugene, and performed site planting and design for a rooftop parking garden at Seattle Children鈥檚 Hospital.
