Three attorneys in Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt鈥檚 Portland office are now Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design green associates. Laura Maffei, Samantha Gamboa and Jill Schneider recently passed the exam, which covers the basics of green building. Unlike the LEED accredited professional exam, the green associate exam does not focus on one area, but gives a basic overview of LEED and sustainability.

Maffei鈥檚 practice focuses on environmental and natural resource law, including hazardous waste cleanup and Clean Water Act cases. She is licensed to practice in Oregon and Washington, and is a Registered Professional Geologist in the state of Oregon. She holds a Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark College.

Gamboa practices environmental law and natural resource law, representing clients in cases involving the Clean Water Act, Oregon Superfund, Model Toxics Control Act and environmental insurance. She is a member of the Oregon and Multnomah Bar association, and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego.

Schneider joined SWW in 2005, and focuses her practice on litigation, including construction defects, corporate disputes and trust and estate litigation. She is a member of the Oregon State, Washington State and Multnomah Bar associations, and holds a Juris Doctor and a Master of Laws and Letters from Temple University.
