Ann Talcott has been appointed chairwoman of the 2011 Defense Research Institute annual meeting in Washington, D.C. DRI is an international organization of attorneys defending the interest of businesses and individuals in civil litigation.

Talcott, a shareholder in the Portland office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, focuses her practice on complex business and product liability litigation. She is the firm鈥檚 lead trial lawyer in product liability and business tort cases and regularly defends wrongful death, catastrophic injury and punitive damage claims.

Talcott is involved with the DRI through a variety of committees and other positions.
