The Cedar Mill area of Washington County is set to get a new neighborhood park. Jackie Husen Park, in the 109000 block of Northwest Reeves Street, is scheduled to open this fall.

The project is currently out to bid. There is a prebid meeting at 10 a.m. Monday, March 29 at the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation office, 15707 S.W. Walker Road in Beaverton.

Although the park district designated the site a park, the five acres have not been improved to neighborhood park standards. The project will add a trail, playground, parking lot, picnic tables, benches and a picnic shelter on the southern two acres.

Bids on the project are due April 15.
