Many of you know me from Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Oregon events, the AIA marketing seminars last summer, and a couple of articles I wrote on behalf of SMPS for the 91ÊÓƵ last year. I am delighted to return to the 91ÊÓƵ as a guest contributor, this time as a “blogger” for the inaugural SMPS Pacific Regional Conference in Sacramento, Calif., on Thursday, March 25 and Friday, March 26.

“The Wave: navigating change” will be hosted by the SMPS Hawaii, Los Angeles, Orange County, Oregon, Sacramento, San Diego and San Francisco chapters. Over two days, the conference will follow three different tracks of interest to architecture, engineering and construction leaders and marketers: business development/marketing, leadership and business trends. The full schedule can be viewed . And yes, there is still room available for those still looking to register.

I will be attending the following sessions, and I encourage you to participate in online discussion as I blog about my experience:

  • SMPS Volunteer Leadership Roundtable
  • Keynote Speaker: Ed Friedrichs – Looking for Business in all the Right Places
  • The Way We Compete: Agencies Perspective
  • How Long Can you Hold Your Breath? Thriving in the Down Economy
  • Live Business Development Interview
  • Whole Brain Marketing

Also, I will present one session: What You Wish Someone Had Told You Before You Said “Yes” to That Job: The Secrets of Great Leadership.

Join the discussion at the SMPS Regional Conference blog beginning Wednesday night.
