Six contractors are on the short list for the renovation of the Oregon State University McAlexander Field House.

The contractors are Fortis Construction, BooCo Construction Inc., Lease Crutcher Lewis, Bremik Construction, LCG Pence Construction LLC and Howard S. Wright.

The bid date for the project is May 4, though a site visit has not been scheduled, said Greg Strombeck, project manager.

Renovation to the field house, an athletic facility built in 1910, will address Life Safety Code to minimize danger from fire. Renovation will also include a new hard-surface court, new synthetic turf, a climbing wall, acoustic work, lighting and other facility and aesthetic improvements.
