The Daily Journal of Commerce has released the list of firms that have moved on to the finalist round in the 2010 DMWESB Top Projects awards.

The awards are a spin-off of a similar competition the 91ÊÓƵ holds each year recognizing the top construction projects in Oregon and Southwest Washington. The DMWESB version will shine a spotlight specifically on the work performed by disadvantaged firms, minority- and women-owned firms, and emerging small businesses on projects in Oregon and Southwest Washington during 2009.

The awards also will recognize outstanding DMWESB suppliers and professional service providers, and will honor at least one non-DMWESB firm or group that has served as an outstanding mentor.

All finalists will be evaluated by a panel of judges from the local building industry. Winners, including the category in which they are being recognized, will be announced during a dinner and banquet on Oct. 28 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Nines in Portland.
