Portland firm was selected by Eastern Oregon University to develop a master plan for the renovation of the university’s Pierce Library.

The university in La Grande tapped the firm to develop a master plan for the renovation of the Pierce Library, according to David Lageson, director of facility operations for Eastern Oregon University. The $8 million project will include deferred maintenance to modernize the library and a re-design of the library’s interior to make the building more flexible as a community space, Lageson said.

Allied Works principal architect Alice Wiewel will lead the project, which is scheduled to break ground in spring 2011.

The firm, led by Brad Cloepfil, has been getting most of its work in other states in recent years.
