The American Institute of Architects Portland presented its annual awards for design excellence at a gala celebration Oct. 23 at the Portland Art Museum. The winning projects were selected from 77 entries by a jury featuring Reed Kroloff of the Cranbrook Academy of Art, John Peterson of Peterson Architects and Public Architecture and Joan Soranno of HGA Architects and Engineers.
Of 64 projects entered in the “built” category, six were labeled standouts. One received an honor award, the highest rating.
Three projects were singled out as citation winners in the “unbuilt” category, which had 13 entries.
