The Oregon Association of County Engineers and Surveyors has named Washington County’s chief engineer, Greg Miller, its engineer of the year. He spearheaded the partnership that built the transportation infrastructure of Bridgeport Village, designed dozens of major county bridge and road improvement projects under strict environmental protection and enhancement standards, and found a creative use for federal stimulus money to pay for traffic control improvements.
OACES presented merit awards to Washington County surveyor Jim Elam and survey supervisor Linda Rigutto.
