David F. Bartz Jr., president of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, has joined the board of directors for the Urban League of Portland. Also, A. Jeffery Bird, a shareholder in the Portland office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, was elected to serve as director of the Northwest chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors. And Karen Kervin was promoted to chief marketing officer.

Bartz focuses his practice on environmental and construction litigation. He has experience representing clients in court and before administrative agencies.

Bird has more than 25 years of experience assisting clients with complex business transactions. He was named an Oregon Super Lawyer for 2009-2010 for his work in mergers and acquisitions law.

Kervin joined Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt in 1985 and most recently served as director of client relations and marketing. She serves on the Advocacy and Awareness board for the City Club of Portland.
