From a company planning an expansion expected to create thousands of local construction jobs to a former mayor who won one of the tightest contests during the November elections, the people and companies selected as the Daily Journal of Commerce’s newest Newsmakers hit the headlines in full force in 2010.

And they show no indication of slipping into obscurity during the coming year.

This is the third year the 91ÊÓƵ has compiled its Newsmakers list, an exclusive roster of the most interesting personalities impacting the local and regional built environment.

The Newsmakers will be honored Feb. 22 during a luncheon event from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Marriott Downtown Waterfront, 1401 S.W. Naito Parkway in Portland.
