Newly retired Oregon Supreme Court Justice W. Michael Gillette has joined regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt as a shareholder in the firm’s commercial litigation practice group. Gillette had served as an associate justice since 1986, following nine years as a judge with the Oregon State Court of Appeals. Gillette will work closely with Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt shareholder Bill Crow to build the firm’s mediation and arbitration practice.

Also, Scott Weimer, client relations and marketing manager for Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, recently began his one-year term as president of the Northwest chapter of the Legal Marketing Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to maintaining the professional marketing standards within the legal profession. Weimer joined the firm in 1990 and has served the client relations and marketing department since 1996.
