reported annual revenues of $27.1 million for fiscal 2010, an increase of $8.1 million compared with the $19 million it reported for fiscal 2009.
The privately-held Portland firm, which makes a suite of project management, accounting and business products for the commercial construction contractor industry, also noted that fiscal 2010 was its third straight year of continued sales growth.
“In five years, our company has doubled its revenues,” said Patrick Prothe, a spokesman. “That’s great news for us in this economy.”
In addition to increased revenues, the company also added 65 new employees from January 2010 to January 2011, bringing its total staff to 215. Viewpoint intends to add up to 40 more employees in fiscal 2011, Prothe added.
Viewpoint has offices in Portland and Charlotte, N.C., and in Canada and Australia, but most of its workforce is in Portland, Prothe said.
To aid the company’s growth, in fiscal 2010 Viewpoint developed a partnership with 3T Systems to allow customers to use the software in new areas of technology, such as smart phones, tablets and other portable devices, Prothe said.
“Through our managed services it can run through just about any platform, including the iPad,” Prothe said.
The company also introduced a fast-track program designed for smaller contractors. That software option works on a subscription model and is less expensive to use, he said.
