A Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program recently chalked up its 500th certified project.
The LEED Volume pilot program started in 2006 as a way to streamline green building certification for commercial real estate firms, national hospitality providers and other high-volume property owners and managers. The program offers a way to create a consistent process for a range of buildings and spaces in a single company’s portfolio.
The U.S. Green Building Council said it will roll out the pilot as a full-fledged program in the LEED family later this year.Â
