Contractor, solar designer join forces

S.D. Deacon Corp. is jumping into the world of solar with both feet.

The general contractor has joined with NW Photon Energy, which designs and installs thin-film solar systems, to form a company called DC-Energy. The new company will operate as a full-service solar system integrator.

NW Photon Energy is based on Lake Oswego and has worked in the past with state agencies, power suppliers and businesses in the development, implementation and operation of both commercial- and utility-scale solar projects.
