Leváre Apartments will provide luxury living alongside the upscale Santana Row shopping and restaurant district in San Jose, Calif.

The 201,200-square-foot, 150-unit building designed by is intended to be integrated with the chic, unique character of Santana Row.

“It’s broken up and divided into what looks like multiple buildings designed and built by different architects over time,” said Jason Erdahl, principal in charge of the project.

The structure will include sleek, modern interiors and a myriad of amenities including contemporary infrastructure for TV, Internet and other conveniences, Erdahl said.

The four-story building, a mix of apartments and townhomes, will have a large lobby designed to look like an art gallery, a lounge, a fitness center, meeting rooms and underground parking.

A rooftop terrace will offer views of Santana Row, and tenants will enter their front doors via a raised courtyard plaza.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification is being pursued for the building, which will be connected to a district-wide central heating and cooling plant.

Construction began in April 2010 and is scheduled to be completed in September.

The Ankrom Moisan project team also includes Isaac Johnson, project architect; and Karen Bowery, interior designer.

Other project partners include: Peoples Associates Structural Engineers; the Guzzardo Partnership, landscape; RDH Group, building sciences; Lefco Inc., mechanical; Sprig Electric; Can-Am Plumbing; Aegis Fire Systems Inc.; and Charles M. Salter Associates, acoustical.
