Doughnut lovers in downtown Portland are going to have to wait a month to get their sugary fix at Portland鈥檚 most notorious doughnut shop due to a remodel and expansion at Voodoo Doughnut.
According to a sign on the door of the shop, Voodoo Doughnut will close April 17 for roughly 30 days in order to undergo a renovation and expansion. The time will give owners Tres Shannon and Kenneth Pogson time to create 鈥渢he Voodoo Doughnuts that we have always dreamed of,鈥 the sign reads.
Besides a much needed renovation, the doughnut shop is going to be expanded into a portion of Berbati鈥檚 Pan, a neighboring music venue that stopped booking shows at the beginning of this year.
More details are expected on the renovation and expansion as the closing date nears.
