NAWIC members receive honors

Oregon members of the National Association of Women in Construction recently received honors at the annual forum for region 9, which encompasses Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska.

Dalene Schafer, Precision Construction office manager and former president of NAWIC鈥檚 Oregon chapter, was elected Region 9 director, and will sit on NAWIC鈥檚 national board of directors. Schafer also was named the region鈥檚 2011 Woman in Construction of the Year.

Samantha Jordan, marketing manager for Emerick Construction, was honored as Future Leader of the Year.
